The Aotea Hand & Body Care Pack contains:

1 x Kumarahou and Manuka Hand & Body Wash 200ml
A gentle wash containing Kumarhou and Manuka honey to effectively cleanse without stripping the skin. Kumarhou, Pomaderris Kumarhou, has a very high saponin content, which works as a surfactant and naturally can foam into a lather. Most conventional soaps and washes use chemicals to create foam. Kumarhou was traditionally referred to as Ôgum diggers soap', as the gum diggers in the 1800s would use kumarahou and water to remove kauri gum and tree sap from their hands when they were working. We have included Manuka Oil to our formulation, acting as a powerful natural disinfectant. This Hand and Body wash is beautifully gentle, very healing and 100% natural.

1 x Harakeke Seed Oil and Manuka Water Hand & Body Cream 200ml
A rich and nourishing hand and body cream designed to soothe the skin and reduce inflammation. The hero ingredient is Harakeke Seed Oil, which is rich in omegas 3, 6 and 9 and also has high linoleic content, an amino acid that is incredibly nourishing for the skin. Formulated with Manuka water, this hand and body lotion also balances the PH levels in the skin, closes the pores, and gently kills bacteria.

Great Barrier Island, New Zealand

A range of New Zealand made health products inspired by traditional Māori herbal remedies and supported by scientific research. Aotea was founded in 2017. We are inspired by mātauranga māori (māori knowledge) and this knowledge manifests itself in our range of therapeutic skincare. Aotea is the māori name for Great Barrier Island and it is here where they are from and where they grow the native flora used (and extract their oils) and spin these into the products in their range. This is all done by Aotea's team on their papakāinga (land). What is important to Aotea is that they bring opportunity to the community where they are based on Aotea. In light of which they have decided (despite the difficulty) to grow, extract and manufacture all the products rather than outsource this. Aotea now have a committed R&D team to determine innovative ways to not only extract some of the plant agents in the flora they use, but also undertake clinical tests of these plant agents.
